Designing cute little patterns became a hobby of mine thanks to some lovely co-workers who opened my eyes to the wonderful world of surface design. (s/o Little Red House!)
In 2019, the wonderful women behind the successful parenting Podcast, Upbringing, reached out to me for a series of portraits of their guest speakers. It was my honor to design illustrations capturing the likeness of this hugely inspirational group of thought-leaders, iconic creators, entrepreneurs, and artists.
I also was able to assist Upbringing with their logo, as well as additional marketing visuals.
In late 2019, I was approached to do a series of illustrations that would be used in digital and print media for the relaunch of Social Media Camp, a summit based out of Victoria, Canada.
I worked with the creative director and then directly with the event owner and producer in creating illustrations to represent their target demographic personas.
We also did a small series of portraits for their 2020 event’s keynote speakers, similar to the style I was doing for Upbringing.
Unfortunately the in-person conference was canceled due to Covid, but the event runner has since been able to successfully integrate the illustrations into the conference’s branding and marketing materials.
This was a freelance illustration project helping the Creative Director explore a new (very of the time) art style for their customer illustration series.
